40+ Years in Foodservice & Retail

The history of King’s Gourmet Foods can be traced all the way back to the 70s when a Seattle couple started their journey with a humble produce stand at the renowned Pike Place Market in Seattle. The founders sold fresh fruits and vegetables harvested from their family farm. Their dedication to quality and personal touch quickly earned them a loyal customer base, laying the foundation for future success.

The little farm stand eventually morphed into Shawn's Fresh Produce. This new venture focused on delivering the finest local produce to restaurants and businesses in the Greater Seattle area, ensuring that customers could enjoy farm-fresh quality delivered right to their doorsteps. As the reputation and demand grew, Shawn's relocated to a larger, state-of-the-art facility in Everett, Washington in 2002. This move allowed the company to significantly increase its capacity and implement advanced technologies that further enhanced the efficiency and quality of their delivery services.

In 2008, Shawn's Fresh Produce took a significant step forward by starting a food processing and manufacturing plant, King's Gourmet Foods. King’s was a product of direct customer feedback and repeated requests for products they needed and would love to buy – peeled garlic, chopped garlic, peeled onions and shallots, ginger puree etc., to name a few.

With years of experience delighting customers in the local market, King’s went national with the addition of few new customers with nationwide operations. In 2022, King’s expanded its operations further by opening a second warehouse location in Wisconsin. This strategic move allowed the company to better serve its growing customer base in the Midwest and East Coast regions. The new warehouse, equipped with advanced refrigeration and storage technologies, ensures that produce remains fresh during transit and delivery, demonstrating the company's commitment to providing timely and efficient service to all its customers.

Despite all the growth, the company remains true to its roots, maintaining the family values and commitment to quality that have defined it since its inception. Today, as King’s continues to innovate and expand, we are always looking to improve in terms of both quality and service to ensure that customers everywhere can continue enjoy our finest, all natural products.

King's Gourmet Foods products are distributed by our distribution partners throughout the West Coast and British Columbia. We have a second location in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to serve customers in the East Coast and Mid West. We also sell direct to food manufacturers, foodservice customers and retailers.
